After visiting the monastery, I take the bus just behind the restaurant complex where I had lunch a little earlier to go down to the sea. I stop at Lower Cheung Sha Beach: a beautiful beach, a 500 meters stretch of white sand. Even though we are on weekends, the beach is almost empty. Young people are having barbecue and playing Frisbee. The air is slightly cool, as the sun is falling on the horizon, but swimmers are enjoying a dip in a water that is still at a quite pleasant temperature. A rock formation at the end of the beach marks the demarcation with Upper Cheung Sha Beach. Sitting at the edge of the water, I enjoy the end of this beautiful day and, before the night falls, I take the bus back to Tung Chung subway station.
