After a long ride on winding mountain roads, I stop at an observatory overlooking the Okutama artificial lake formed by the Ogochi dam. At the bottom of the valley a small orange bridge is of matching color with the autumn trees. Everything is really in harmony in this place. The mountains are nicely cut and from a far distance look like velvet. Just like a scenery for an electric model train. After a walk on the floating bridge on the reservoir, I’m leaving back for Tokyo. It will take me 3 hours of congested roads and traffic jams bumper against bumper to reach my home. It is as if all the inhabitants of Tokyo had decided to come to Okutama today.
