It is the temple I liked the most during my stay in Bali! The architecture is very well balanced and this temple is perfectly kept. It was built in 1634. It is surrounded by very narrow canals and we can access only through a small bridge. The numerous Meru (multiple roofs altars) give to the temple a unique charm. This is one of the only temples where are revered royal ancestral deities, the second largest temple in Bali after Besakih temple. Despite the number of visitors, the site is large enough and we can enjoy peaceful moments throughout the visit.
